The Youth Commonwealth Games

The Youth Commonwealth Games are a multi-sport championship event that takes place among the Commonwealth nations and territories open to youth between the ages of 14 and 18 in the year of competition. The first games were held in Scotland in 2000. The games take place every four years, but the quadrennial cycle has been adjusted. Lauren Hill, athlete age of 14, was the first gymnast to represent the Cayman Islands at the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2011 in the Isle of Man.
